Alesis :: Nanosynth battery

I just picked up some NOS nanosynths. I haven't checked the batteries yet (still waiting for power supplies, which seem to have been scavenged), but I assume they'll be dead.

Has anyone replaced the batteries on one of these guys?? Is it accessible to someone handy with a soldering iron??

Well I'm sad to know my ol' QS7 is about obsolete. I had it put away for years while I was traveling and now that I've pulled it out to play I see it works with hardly anything. Can anyone tell me if I can hook it up to a USB port on my laptop and use it with cakewalk Home studio 6?

Alesis :: How do I find my uploaded samples on my DMPro ? Help! Anyone

I've searched and searched but cannot find anywhere any info on how to find uploaded samples on the DMPro.
Ive used Soundbridge to transfer them across via midi into the dmpro, the dmpro reads its recieving them and I have a pcmcia card in the dmpro so I assume everything I need is there.
I made up a voice group and had 1 sample in it and transferred it however when I go into the dmpro at DRUM-EDIT-GROUP-....... the new group and sample are nowhere to be seen.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong????

Alesis :: Alesis Q6.2 Memory card flash Ram vs. SRAM

I would like to know the difference in the Flash Ram card and the SRAM card? I simply want to mix/or changes the parameters of an existing program already in the Alesis and store it to a card. I don't want to use my user banks in the synthesizer itself. I would like to have a card to store them and call them up to play as needed? Does anyone know what the difference is in the two cards and which one would be best for what I am trying to accomplish. Thanks in advance for any hel0p.

Alesis :: 512kb SRAM Memory Card for Alesis not recognized?

I just bought a 512kb SRAM Memory Card for my Alesis QS8.1 from the Midi Store.
Both slots recognize the Jazz Piano card I have, but neither recognize the new card. Before returning it, the Midi Store kindly suggested I ask the forum.
I have checked that I have the card facing the right side up, etc, and that it is fully inserted.
Any ideas??

just picked up a nice QSR. found a serial cable and downloaded the Roland driver listed at the Alesis.com site.
installed driver, hooked up Qsr...no joy!
any help from you pros would be appreciated beyound measure.

I am debating between this and firepod, I have seen and read good things about the Alesis but cannot find out anywhere if it has drivers for Vista, anyone know or have any comments about the IO26 I would appreciate it, thanks

Alesis :: PCMCIA Card In Alesis DMPro!?

just wondering if the 8mb PCMCIA cards for the QS series are the same ones that work in the DMPro? i'm wanting to add custom samples to my 'Pro but want to make sure i have the right card specification befor ei spend the $100.

the alternative is getting another korg es-1, but the PCMCIA card is a neater solution...

Alesis :: Alesis QuadraSynth Plus for sale anyone?

I need a keyboard that fits into my A-frame stand, something with 76 keys. Looks like no one makes them any more so it's going to be a used
one. I had a QS Plus Piano before, I could use another one as long as it's
in good condition (and dirt cheap). If you have one of these, please let me know. I may settle for a QS7 but I'd prefer the QSPlus.

Alesis :: korg ms2000b or alesis ion?

i have heard much about both, mostly good on each side. do i go with the newer alesis ion or the older sturdier ms2000b?
please respond if you have personally used both of them and can compare. i have heard enough rave reviews for each of them and also a fair amount of bad comments as well.

Alesis :: Alesis QS6 Will Not Record in Cakewalk

I've had my QS6 for about 5 years with no major problems. A couple of years ago I hooked it up to my computer with Cakewalk via the built in serial interface. I didn't have any problems, but I uninstalled it because I wasn't using it.

Now I have everything re-installed and everything is working except for the record function. I can record within Cakewalk itself, but when I use my synth in step record or live record nothing gets recorded.

I suspect that it may be a bad cable or something in the interface, but the synth receives data perfectly. I can play any midi file or pro audio file through my synth. There is only one minor problem in that sometimes when I switch patches on the computer the synth doesn't always change patches right away.

Does this sound like a cable problem or interface problem? I have a book on Cakewalk and I think I 've tried just about everything.

Please help.
